Job Description
JOB OVERVIEW The Product Senior Specialist will be responsible for gathering and disseminating comprehensive product knowledge, analyzing market trends related to product pricing and positioning, meticulously ensuring the accuracy of all product specifications in customer-facing materials, and strategically reviewing upcoming OEM products with the Sales General Manager to identify market opportunities. This position demands a passionate automotive expert with a keen eye for detail and strong communication skills. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Product Expertise & Knowledge Management: • Act as the authoritative expert on all products for both automotive brands, possessing in-depth knowledge of features, specifications, technology, benefits, unique selling propositions (USPs), and competitive advantages. • Continuously monitor and acquire knowledge on new vehicle models, facelifts, technological advancements, product updates, and upcoming product pipelines from the OEM. • Maintain a centralized, organized, and up-to-date repository of all critical product information for easy access by relevant departments. Product Training Content Development: • Prepare comprehensive and engaging product knowledge training materials for both brands, including presentations, detailed manuals, FAQs, comparison guides, and potential video scripts. • Provide these meticulously prepared training materials to the Sales & After Sales Training General Manager for implementation and delivery to the sales force, after-sales teams, and other relevant personnel. • Collaborate closely with the Training General Manager to ensure training content effectiveness, clarity, and suitability for various learning modalities. Market & Competitive Product Analysis and Future Planning: • Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis with a specific focus on competitor product offerings, features, pricing strategies, and market positioning within the Iraqi automotive landscape. • Monitor competitor product launches, updates, marketing claims, and strategic pricing moves to provide timely insights. • Collaborate directly with the Sales General Manager to review upcoming product pipelines from the OEM, jointly assessing market opportunities, potential demand, and strategic fit within the Iraqi market. • Provide the Sales General Manager with actionable insights regarding product competitiveness, potential pricing adjustments, product portfolio gaps, and market demand to inform current and future sales strategies. Employee Relations & Legal Compliance: • Manage all aspects of employee relations, including disciplinary actions, grievance procedures, conflict resolution, and employee counseling, to ensure the fair and consistent application of policies. • Ensure strict and continuous compliance with all Iraqi labor laws, social security regulations, tax laws related to employment, and other relevant governmental mandates. • Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures in line with best practices and legal requirements. • Maintain accurate, confidential, and compliant employee records and HR information systems. Product Information, Accuracy & Communication: • Take overall responsibility for ensuring that all product specification sheets, brochures, catalogues, digital content (website product pages, social media posts), and any other customer-facing materials in showrooms and across all communication channels are absolutely correct and up-to-date with accurate product specifications for both brands. • Act as a vital gatekeeper for product information integrity, verifying all details before publication or dissemination. • Collaborate with the MARCOM Manager to ensure accurate product details and compelling features are incorporated into all marketing campaigns. Sales Support & Product Advocacy: • Provide expert product support to the sales teams, assisting them with complex customer inquiries, feature explanations, and competitive product comparisons. • Act as an internal product advocate, inspiring the sales force by highlighting the unique selling points and value propositions of our vehicles. • Gather direct product feedback from sales teams and customers to provide valuable insights for future product planning or market adaptations. OEM Liaison: • Liaise with the OEM product and technical teams to understand current product specifications, future product roadmaps, and product updates. • Represent local market product requirements and specific customer feedback to the OEM to influence future product development.Requirements
- • A bachelor’s degree or higher qualification preferred.
- • A minimum of three years of experience as a Product supervisor in a car dealership.
- • English, Arabic, Kurdish
- • Expert-level, comprehensive understanding of vehicle features, specifications, technology, performance, and benefits across multiple brands.
- • ability to research, structure, and create clear, accurate, and engaging product knowledge training materials.
- • Strong analytical skills for conducting competitive benchmarking, pricing analysis, and product positioning studies.
- • Ability to contribute to strategic discussions regarding future product offerings and market opportunities.
- • Strong ability to work effectively and build relationships with the Sales General Manager, Training General Manager, Marketing Communications Manager, and OEM counterparts.
- • Proficient in gathering and synthesizing product, market, and competitive intelligence.
